This resource focuses on the addition and subtraction of rational numbers, particularly emphasizing decimals. It begins with an introductory section called 'Do Now,' where students rewrite subtraction problems as addition. The document includes instructions on adding and subtracting integers, followed by techniques for adding and subtracting decimals, which involve lining up decimal points and performing standard arithmetic operations. Various practice problems are provided to reinforce the concepts, challenging students to solve both addition and subtraction problems involving negative numbers and decimals, while encouraging them to show their work on the provided space.
