Original Promptadd in scaffolds to step up rigor of this worksheet
This resource contains practice problems designed to enhance understanding of geometric concepts and area calculations for 6th grade students. The problems encourage scaffolded reasoning and rigorous proof techniques, challenging students to analyze quadrilaterals, explore tiling with rectangles, and evaluate true statements about area. Additionally, students are prompted to apply decomposition and subtraction methods to find the area of complex shapes, and to reflect on the effectiveness of these methods. This set of problems aims to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills in geometry and measurement.
