Original Prompt

make a worksheet for a 3rd grader on the following topic: comparing fractions, greater than, less than and equal. use both common denominators and unlike denominators

This resource focuses on the concept of comparing fractions with both like and unlike denominators. It helps students understand that when the denominators are the same, the fraction with the larger numerator represents a greater value. The document includes worked examples and practice sections where students can sketch models and compare fractions using greater than, less than, and equal to symbols. Additionally, there are visual aids that illustrate how to compare fractions with different denominators. The overall aim is to enable students to confidently recognize the relationships between various fractions.
