This resource focuses on the concept of rounding decimals to whole numbers. It details the rules for rounding based on the tenths digit, explaining that if this digit is between 0 and 4, the whole number remains the same, while if it is between 5 and 9, the whole number rounds up. The material includes visual aids like a number line for better understanding and provides practice problems for students to apply the rounding rules themselves. Additionally, it includes an error analysis section where students need to identify and correct a mistake made by a peer in rounding a decimal.
