This lesson focuses on teaching students how to identify locations within a city and provide clear directional instructions to navigate from one place to another. Key body movements are incorporated into the lesson, emphasizing commands such as 'Turn Left', 'Go Straight', and 'Stop'. Students utilize a city map that includes various locations like schools, parks, and shops, practicing their direction-giving skills by writing down step-by-step instructions for their peers. Additionally, the lesson includes a creative component where students can design their own town maps, ensuring they highlight at least four distinct locations and the roads connecting them. Speaking and writing frames are provided to assist students in describing their towns effectively, culminating in a challenge where they create a unique direction to discover a 'secret spot' in their town.
