This product is a Scavenger Hunt of 14 people associated with 8th Grade U.S.History. Included is (1) History Mystery Introduction Sheets (2) History Mystery Answer Document (3) Who Am I Clue Cards, and (4) Character Placards.

It can be done as individuals, in pairs, or in groups. Each student or group will get a History Mystery Introduction Sheet with the answer document copied to the back. There are 14 different Introductory Sheets so students don't all start at the same place. When students find the Character Placard associated with their clue, they will write the name and letter on their answer document. They will then get a Who Am I clue card to find their next clue. I make several copies of the clue cards and place them by the Character Placards. *** It is important to make sure there is a planned out order to where you place the Who Am I cards so that students don't end up going to the same person twice.

This product is a set of Matching Cards with Dates, People, Events, Vocabulary, Places, and other important things to know for the 8th Grade Social Studies STAAR Test. There are 87 slides with 3 sets of matching cards on each slide for a total of 261 cards.

This product includes 50 events related to the 8th Grade Social Studies STAAR Test. There are 50 placards with a Headline, Date, and Description in newspaper format. Students will determine which event is being described. This activity can be a traditional gallery walk with placards spread around the room or can be done on the computer with programs such as Nearpod and Google Classroom. An answer key is included.
