Spanish Slang Video and Viewing Guide

It's the end of a unit or the end of the school year.... what would be FUN and motivating to students? Learning slang! Digital or printable, this Youtube video and accompanying Google Doc and Edpuzzle viewing guides will help students sound more natural with their speech. This video teaches slang from SPAIN, but check out my other products for slang from other countries!

Students can view the video and write down answers in open-ended form, or they can watch the video in an EdPuzzle and answer the multiple choice questions. (Auto-graded, by the way!) The questions in this activity are written in Spanish, but the language level is basic and should be accessible to students from Novice High and up. The video itself presents Spanish slang terms with explanations in English. The viewing guides are fully customizable to be sure the questions are just right for your students!

Slang from Puerto Rico Video and Viewing Guide with Edpuzzle

It's the end of a unit or the day before vacation.... what would be FUN and motivating to students?  Learning slang!  This Youtube video and accompanying Google Doc and Edpuzzle  viewing guides will help students sound more natural with their speech.  This video teaches slang from PUERTO RICO, but check out my other products for slang from other countries!

Students can view the video and write down answers in open-ended form, or they can watch the video in an EdPuzzle and answer the multiple choice questions.  (Auto-graded, by the way!)  The questions in this activity are written in Spanish, but the language level is basic and should be accessible to students from Novice High and up.  The video itself presents Spanish slang terms with explanations in English.

**Disclaimer: There is one expression in the video that is not so nice... "Come mierda" which they present to mean that someone is a snob. **I cut it out of the Edpuzzle, but I cannot edit the YouTube video.****

College Acceptance Bulletin Board Spanish & English

Do you teach high school seniors?  Check out this EASY and wonderful bulletin board idea!  With minimal work, you personalize this display and create a classroom display to honor your seniors’ accomplishments and inspire your younger students at the same time!

  1. Ask your seniors to bring you copies of their college acceptance letters. (Email their parents too!)
  2. Personalize these Google slides with your students’ names

AP Spanish Don Quijote 2 Group Projects End of Year Fun

It's the end of the year.... how can you keep Spanish students motivated? Don Quijote provides humor and satire, along with choice with 2 project options! These don Quijote projects will allow students to learn culture, do some writing, and maybe even entertain the class! Take advantage of the prom season by offering a project in which students write and perform a skit about don Quijote going to the prom! Or, have students write the "lost chapter" of the don Quijote saga. Both of these activities require creativity and fun!

*In my AP® class, we always do a don Quijote reader after the AP Test®. This is a great way to keep students on track by having them work collaboratively and producing a high quality project for a grade. Included in this product is a daily log for students and teachers to refer to in order to be sure that class time is used wisely. And all Google products are yours to modify and edit as you see fit for your students!

How can I use this product?

  • Consider having students read some selections of the don Quijote book, or have them watch selections of a movie

Spanish and English All About My Teacher Fill in the Blanks

Know a teacher who's retiring? Need a fun Thank You or End of Year gift for a teacher? This product contains both Spanish and English (and digital and printable) versions of a fun "All About My Teacher" fill in the blank card! The Google Slides can be printed in black and white or in color, or they can be assigned digitally for students to fill in. Students answer questions about what their teacher would be if..... they were a food, an animal, a quality, an object, etc, and then say why! Kids are so creative and funny with what they come up with!
