A great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to some of the key events of the American Revolution. Great for class work, distance learning or home schooling. There are 29 posters or task cards that include many of the key figures and events from the Boston Tea Party to the Treaty of Paris which formally ended the war.

The posters look great as a display in the classroom and the cards are a brilliant introduction to the War of Independence. The displays and cards come both with dates and without dates, so the students can research the dates online before sorting the timeline. The cards look even better when laminated.

A biography project about the life of the first American President and the leader of the United States during the American Revolutionary War, George Washington. The NO PREP unit has been split into four separate lessons and is perfect for students in fifth grade or sixth grade. Students will learn about the famous figure whilst working on their comprehension skills and developing their creative writing.

The first lesson is interactive and involves students cutting out facts, and then sorting these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the students need to use these facts to write four paragraphs. Then, in the third lesson children need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions on a prompt sheet before writing up their conclusion. In the final lesson students need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on to a neat copy on the template provided.
