It is a great way to build a classroom community as students get to know each other. Students can write their classmates' names or have their classmates sign their own names in the boxes provided. Students will have fun looking for letters in the alphabet soup and writing them on the graphs for both uppercase and lowercase letters. Since I follow the Scott Foresman Reading Series, the letters are introduced on the graph in the same way they are presented in the series. However, you could use these graphs with any reading series as it prepares students with important letter identification skills that all kindergarten students will need. Students get some math and literacy practice with this activity. Included in this file are all letters. There are five graphs for uppercase letters and five graphs for lowercase letters. There are four additional mixed upper and lowercase letter graphs. You will also receive a blank graph and bowl so the teacher or students can create their own. This activity allows you to differentiate the instruction to meet the needs of your students. Just print and go and enjoy this fun integrated math and literacy activity with your students.

Place these cards on the desks of students who are displaying wise choices, perfect work or students who need to stop what they are doing and make a wiser choice. Students can even give each other a card if they see a classmate doing some great work. Students can write about what it means to make wise choices and people in their lives who make wise choices. You could be creative with these cards and place them around square tissue boxes. If you see an entire table making wise choices, you could put the "Look whoo is making wise choices" box on the table for all children to see. The cards also come in black and white images for your convenience. The writing prompts come in primary and secondary lined paper for you to be able to differentiate to your needs. Letters and Beginning Sounds book~ Students will create this letters and sounds booklet by coloring in matching beginning sounds. Students will draw and label three pictures that begin with each indicated sound and practice forming letters within lines. There are two pages for each letter of the alphabet for students to work on.

I use these booklets during RTI instruction. Students can work independently while I pull small groups of students to work on skills.

This is great for students at different levels. On the page in which students can draw pictures for beginning sounds, students with advanced skills can use inventive spelling and label their pictures. I also try to enrich this activity to have these students go back and label the pictures that they colored in throughout the booklet. Struggling students can simply practice identifying beginning sounds and focus in on letter formation.

Teach your students how to form their numbers with these number formation poems for numbers 0-9. Hang these posters in your classroom and refer to them continually as you teach the proper formation. Students will love playing this guessing game as they try to figure out which mouse has the cheese hidden behind it. The mice cards have the 40 Dolch Pre-Primer Sight Words as well a few bonus words. This product also contains blank mice cards for you to add in your own words. Choose which mice cards you want to use.

Directions: Cut out and laminate cards and place on a pocket chart. Have one or two students hide the cheese cards behind one of the mice while the other students try to guess where it is. Students could give clues after each guess.

Students will learn to identify, match, form letters within lines, distinguish upper and lowercase letters as they work on these activities.

You will receive

-Upper and lower case match and trace letters using colored pencils or crayons activities

-Letter formation within lines practice pages for letters that are up in the sky, stay in the grass or hang down low in the dirt.

-fill in missing letters for both upper and lower case charts.

-What letter comes next in the alphabet for upper and lowercase letters.
