French Tenses and Pronouns Translations Exercise #4 - Advanced Level - AP French
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
This advanced French exercise includes ten sentences to translate from English to French using the following tenses or verbal constructions with the pronoun EN. An answer key is included. There are lots of twists and turns in the grammar that will really have your students thinking. This exercise is perfect for AP French.
Exercise #4 focuses on the use of the French adverbial pronoun EN with various tenses. This resource is included in a bundled set of six exercises using different types of French pronouns.
If you're looking for something a little less advanced, I also have an intermediate level translation exercise similar to this one.
The ten sentences included in this exercise follow chronological order, encouraging the use of pronouns to avoid repetition. Students must pay attention to the sequence in order to make sense of the changes in verb tenses and the consistent use of pronouns to replace words that have already been stated in the beginning of the exercise.
This sentences in this exercise tell a story. The first sentence of the exercise includes some underlined words. Translate it and the following sentences replacing the underlined words with a pronoun. The tenses change in each sentence.
This exercise (#4) uses only the pronoun EN. I have 5 similar exercises available in my store which use other French pronouns:

Qui suis-je? Interactive activity for advanced secondary French students

Qui suis-je? Interactive activity for advanced secondary French students
⇨ 75 cards with detailed descriptions of common nouns using higher level French
⇨ Use cards to have students work in pairs or small groups.
⇨ Use PDF with one card per page to project and use as a whole class activity.
⇨ Cards feature detailed descriptions for students to read and have others guess the noun that has been described.
⇨ Higher level grammar and vocabulary used in descriptions helps more advanced students get more exposure to grammar in context while having a lot of fun!
☞This resource is included in my advanced French growing bundle☜
While it is good to have students come up with their own descriptive sentences in French, sometimes it's just as great to have them read descriptions aloud to each other. Students will see advanced grammar in use and will understand new vocabulary words through context. This is a unique way to improve when students have already been exposed to a lot of grammar. Here are a few examples:
⭐ Les voyageurs m'aiment beaucoup parce que je suis très utile quand on veut parcourir de longues distances. On ne me conduit pas. On me pilote. Qui suis-je?
⭐ Je suis un avion!
⭐ J'existe pour aider les gens qui ne voient pas très bien. Ils me posent sur leur nez. J'ai deux verres pour les aider à mieux voir. Qui suis-je?
⭐ Je suis les lunettes!
This resource can be used over and over, and since there are so many cards you will have plenty of variety. The grammar varies from card to card, so you can easily pick and choose which ones you would like to use for different levels.

French Present Tense Review Task Cards Speaking Activity
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
These 30 questions are just right for students who need to practice the PRESENT TENSE, and they are a perfect no prep speaking activity for busy teachers. Each EST-CE QUE question uses the TU form with verbs in the present tense. In addition to regular and irregular -ER, -IR and -RE verbs I've also included many irregular verbs.
In order to avoid OUI and NON answers, each question also includes an interrogative word which is great practice in helping to remember what they mean and where they're placed in the sentence.
This resource is part of my French 1 & 2 curriculum bundle
Since all of the questions are asked in the TU form, all of the answers will be in the first person singular. This is so that students can really focus and get used to using these verbs when talking about themselves and when talking to a friend.
Just cut out the 30 cards, punch holes in the spaces provided and attach the stack of cards with a key ring. It would be a great idea to print on card stock and laminate the cards before punching holes and attaching them. Super easy and no prep for years to come. Both black and white and color versions are included as well as a 2 page print out of the questions if you should decide to use them as a quiz or homework assignment.
Repetition is key in learning a language, and that's why I've created many different versions of these speaking cards. All of the cards ask the same basic questions, but each time in a different tense. My students really appreciate the familiarity of the cards even when learning a new tense.
Check out the other versions:

French Past Conditional Lesson and Exercises
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
This resource includes a lesson guide to teaching and learning the French past conditional as well as a 5 part translation exercise with answers included. The translations are from English to French and they involve using the present and past conditional as well as other grammar points and verb tenses that students at this level should be comfortable with. A video tutorial on how to teach the past conditional is included.
In this lesson I pay special attention to how to say "would have been", "could have been" and "should have been" in French.
We teachers know that learning the French past conditional isn't so difficult once you know how to form the passé composé, but our students often need lots of examples and exercises to help them see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Forming the French subjunctive is the easy part. Learning how and when to use it correctly is when it gets a little tricky for our students. This is an activity on giving advice, suggestions and opinions using the French subjunctive.
Included:
Fourteen different situations to which your students will have to respond by either making a suggestion, giving your opinion, or giving advice of some kind.
How to use this resource:
Students will use the provided list of 24 expressions that must be followed by the French subjunctive to help them get started.
3 sample responses are provided for each of the 14 situations (to be used at your discretion, possible responses are provided in the answer section and the original is left open for students to use).
Sample situation: Ton meilleur ami doit déménager dans un autre pays, et tu vas lui manquer.
Quels conseils lui donnes-tu?
Sample response: Il est important que nous gardions le contact par Skype et que nous nous écrivions toutes les semaines sur Facebook.

French Tenses and Pronouns Translations Exercise #6 - Advanced Level - AP French
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
This advanced French exercise includes ten sentences to translate from English to French using the following tenses or verbal constructions with double pronouns LEUR and EN. An answer key is included. There are lots of twists and turns in the grammar that will really have your students thinking. This exercise is perfect for AP French.
Exercise #6 focuses on the use of the French double pronouns LEUR and EN with various tenses.
This exercise (#6) uses the double pronouns LEUR and EN. I have 5 similar exercises available in my store which use other French pronouns:

French Imperfect Review Task Cards Speaking Activity
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
These 30 questions are just right for students who need to practice the IMPERFECT TENSE, and they are a perfect no prep speaking activity for busy teachers.
⇒This resource is included in my French 1 & 2 curriculum bundle
