French Articles Definite and Indefinite Worksheets - Exercises
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
These 3 French definite and indefinite articles worksheets are best for students who have been studying French for a while, but who still struggle with understanding how and when to use definite as opposed to indefinite articles. These exercises will help students remember why we need to use articles and the reason why choosing the correct one is so important.
The focus of these exercises is to choose correctly between definite and indefinite articles. Sometimes it is difficult when students don't know if the noun in question is masculine or feminine. That's why there is one worksheet that uses only masculine & singular nouns, another that uses only feminine & singular nouns, and one more that uses only plural nouns, masculine and feminine.
You'll notice that the vocabulary used is more advanced than what it is when you first teach articles. These exercises are really to help non-beginners who still struggle to remember how and when to use definite and indefinite articles.
Included with this resource:
Example:
_____ a. Dans ma rue, il y a __(UNE)___ boulangerie qui fabrique de très bonnes
pâtisseries.
_____ b. Où est __(LA)___ boulangerie Au bon pain, s’il vous plaît?

⭐ ALWAYS PREPARED…
These booklets are one of my favorite "go to" resources when I want to get my students reading, writing, listening, and speaking to each other while focusing on specific grammar themes that require a lot of practice. There's something about changing up the routine that is very motivating to students.
⭐ ALWAYS PREPARED…
You will be able to pull out this set of booklets again and again, year after year, as you teach and reteach French grammar topics. There are 100 sets of booklets in this series, and it's never a bad idea to pull out a random stack even with your more advanced students to give them a solid review of certain things they may have forgotten.
⭐ ALWAYS PREPARED…
These no-prep booklets can easily carry you through your whole career as a French teacher, and they'll save you so much time. I like to have baskets of these booklets ready to pull out and go at the drop of a hat. How about never needing to prepare for a sub on days when you can't be there?

French Partitive Articles and Ways To Use DE Challenge Task Cards Activity
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
French partitive articles and other forms of DE complete lesson - DE LA - DE L' - DU - DES - DE - D'
We all know how difficult it can be for students to know when to use the correct form of DE when they don't know all of the rules and when they've not had enough practice. This is a complete lesson plan that you can even use on a day when you can’t be at school and you have a sub who isn’t a French teacher. This resource includes a 30 minute video, and you just need to click here to see it on YouTube.
There is a one page printable study guide with rules and examples to accompany the video lesson, and the best part is the set of 100 numbered practice cards and answer key that will give your students tons of opportunities to practice.
➯ This resource is included in my Ça y est, je parle français! French 1 curriculum bundle!
This lesson focuses on using DE or D’ before adjectives that come before the noun, the partitive with masculine, feminine, singular, and plural nouns, using DE or D’ after different forms of negation, using DE after certain verbs when followed by an infinitive, and using DE or D’ with expressions of quantity, and notice there on #40 (in the preview or video preview) that I’ve included a few tricky ones which do not use DE when referring to specific nouns, and that’s mentioned in the video lesson.
I’ve included a set of 100 printable cards that you can cut out, and if you prefer a paperless version I’ve also included a PDF with only one card per page to project as a whole class activity or for students to use on tablets or computers.
