This card game is an excellent way to practice and memorize verb conjugations, and it will have your students speaking to each other in French the whole time! In the deck of 42 cards there are 7 families of 6 cards (je - tu - il - nous - vous - ils).

One player distributes five cards to each player (2 to 4 per group). The rest of the cards are placed in the "pioche". One player begins the game by asking another player to give him a card. He might say, "Dans la famille DANSER, est-ce que tu as J'AI DANSÉ?" or "Dans la famille PARLER, est-ce que tu as NOUS N'AVONS PAS PARLÉ?"

The goal is to come up with a complete family. If the player doesn't have it, he says "pioche". If he draws the card that he asked for, he can continue to play and ask someone for another card. Each time a player comes up with all six members of a family, he can make a stack. At the end of the game, the player with the most sets of families wins!

Everyone loves a good game of BATTLESHIP, and the French classroom is a better place than any! You can use this classic game format to practice regular -ER verbs. This resource includes 40 regular verbs. 5 different versions of the game are included.

This resource includes 5 versions of the game with both black and white and color copies and instructions on how to play.

Just print out one page of the version you want to use per student. Students place boats (which are squares on the game sheets that they will have darkened with a pencil) on the game board. Students play against each other to try to find and eventually sink their opponent’s boats.

Subject pronouns are written in the vertical column and infinitives are written in the boxes at the top. To choose a square, the player must say the subject and correct verb form in the present tense. If you wanted to practice writing in the passé composé you could have your students do that. Another idea is to have students make simple sentences using the subject pronoun and verb of choice.

All of the vocabulary they’ll need is written right on the game sheet and it is all in French. Each game sheet includes two battleship grids and a line separating the two. Students can fold the paper on the line if they want to. One of the grids is for a player to place his boats and the other is to mark and keep track of his opponent.

If you're struggling to find an original and engaging activity for your beginner French students to practice and review regular ER verbs, you are going to love these listening comprehension and writing activities in the present tense. • Listen to the 15 pre-recorded present tense sentences being read
• Draw what you hear on the student response sheet provided
• Write the infinitive form of the verb being used in the sentence

These activities can be used for listening comprehension and written production at the same time, instructions included.

If your students have access to colored pencils you may choose to use the recordings that indicate which color they should use to draw and write. The color they should use is clearly indicated in French at the beginning or appropriate time in the reading of the sentence.

A recording without the use of colors is also included.

Some students will say they can’t draw, but stick figures should be encouraged! None of the sentences represent a real drawing challenge.

This French quiz on present tense ER verbs includes sixteen multiple choice questions. Students fill in the blanks with the missing verbs_._ The correct answers will always be ER verbs even if there are other kinds of verbs that might make sense given the context. Regular French ER Verbs Conjugation Practice Charts - Present Tense

This set of present tense conjugation practice charts is for practicing regular French ER verbs (including verbs ending in -ger), and three versions are included covering 20 verbs (see list below).

ER - IR - RE Verb Conjugation Charts Bundle - 20% off

Students practice conjugating each of the 20 French ER verbs provided in the present tense. There is a space where they have to write what the verb means in English. The translations are omitted so that students will retain their meanings better by looking up the verbs they don't know and writing them on the charts.

Each page has plenty of space for writing. 15 sentences using regular French ER verbs are included in this dictation exercise that will help students with listening comprehension and written production. All of the verbs are used either in the present tense or passé composé, and half of the sentences use negation. Each sentence is read twice, giving plenty of time for students to write. This card game is an excellent way to practice and memorize verb conjugations, and it will have your students speaking to each other in French the whole time! In the deck of 42 cards there are 7 families of 6 cards (je - tu - il - nous - vous - ils).

One player distributes five cards to each player (2 to 4 per group). The rest of the cards are placed in the "pioche". One player begins the game by asking another player to give him a card. He might say, "Dans la famille PARLER, est-ce que tu as JE PARLE?"

His goal is to come up with a complete family. If the player doesn't have it, he says "pioche". If he draws the card that he asked for, he can continue to play and ask someone for another card. Each time a player comes up with all six members of a family, he can make a stack. At the end of the game, the player with the most sets of families wins!
