Aller Present Tense & Futur Proche - French Google Forms Quiz or Exercise

This beginner level quiz on the French verb aller in the present tense and futur proche is a multiple choice exercise, but it's not only about conjugations. It's more about using the verb aller in meaningful context.

There are 50 multiple choice questions, and students have to choose the correct sentence out of a choice of three. There's a nice mixture of prepositions of location, articles, contracted articles, city vocabulary, and infinitives of regular ER and IR verbs. Some simple negation (ne / pas) is included.

Looking for new and fun ways to teach and review French aller expressions? This is the easiest, most engaging, no prep 30 minute dice game you'll find that your students will LOVE! 5 versions are included. All you have to do is print and go!

Students divide into teams and play a dice game, the dice determining which subjects and verbs to conjugate. Check out the preview to see exactly how you can use this activity in your French classroom to practice 32 different aller expressions as well as the conjugation of the verb in any tense you wish. Use this quizlet set to have your students practice the expressions used in these activities. The images you see on the quizlet are the same as those in the games and expressions list.

This LOW PREP French Grammar and conjugation game about the French verb ALLER in the present tense is a fun way to encourage your French beginner students to keep up with the grammar they learn.

Quel Dommage games add a little competition and fun to grammar. Your students will also practice speaking and pronunciation! The verb ALLER is essential to forming a strong base knowledge of French, yet it can be difficult to master without lots of practice and review.

Detailed instructions are included so that your students can play even when you need to be away and a sub has your class.

Here's how the QUEL DOMMAGE game works:

STEP 1

• Print the game cards on heavy paper or card stock and cut them out.
• Laminate the cards

STEP 2

• Put all of the game pieces in a box and divide your students into small teams.
• Give each team gets a box of questions and a copy of the answer key.
• Students must replace the underlined words in the sentences with pronouns (for example) and say the sentence correctly. When they are correct, they get to keep their game card. However, when they draw a QUEL DOMMAGE card they have to put all of their game cards back in the box.
• The student with the most game cards at the end is the winner.

Are your students struggling with conjugating the French verb aller along with prepositions and places? Let them revise and have fun with this traditional game!

In order to win, students connect four boxes by filling them in with the conjugations of aller along with the prepositions and places listed at the bottom of the game board (see the places used below). Subject pronouns are listed on the left.

Students take turns filling in boxes until four are connected. At this point, they can check their work using the answer key provided. If any of the conjugations are incorrect, the game continues. Full instructions are included.

Teaching French aller expressions?  Looking for an engaging way to get your French students to build their communication skills and vocabulary? Taboo is a fun French speaking and listening game where one student has to guess a word based on clues given in French by other students. The catch is that they cannot mention anything that is included in a list of taboo words.

Classic French Taboo Games Bundle - 3 Versions

Object of the game:

One player tries to get his teammate to guess the word at the top of a card. The player must give clues, but he can't use any of the Taboo words in his description. The taboo words are written beneath the underlined word at the top of the card.

Teams score points for each word successfully guessed. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Beginner students should be allowed to use the French TABOO words printed on the cards. This will encourage them to use new vocabulary and will help them in forming sentences to use as clues.

Each of the 7 "families of cards" begins with one of the following, and conjugations in the present tense are used in the JE - TU - IL - NOUS - VOUS - ILS forms.

• Je vais + place

42 playing cards to print on heavy paper or card stock

This card game is an excellent way to practice and memorize verb conjugations. It will have your students speaking to each other in French the whole time! They will make affirmative and negative statements and will use EST-CE QUE to form simple questions.

One player distributes five cards to each player (2 to 4 per group). The rest of the cards are placed in the "pioche". One player begins the game by asking another player to give him a card. He or she might say, "Est-ce que tu vas au parc?"

The goal is to come up with complete families. The different verbs represent the families. There are 6 cards to a family (JE - TU - IL - NOUS- VOUS - ILS). Students will find it helpful to group together the cards that have the same picture at the top (flower, flip-flops, etc.) If the player doesn't have it, he says "pioche". If he draws the card that he asked for, he can continue to play and ask someone for another card. Each time a player comes up with all six members of a family, he can make a stack. At the end of the game, the player with the most sets of families wins!

French Aller Expressions Task Cards - Beginner Level - Cartes à Tâches

Aller and Descriptive French Adjectives - Correct the mistakes - No prep printable

A simple, fun, and no-prep one page BELL RINGER worksheet in which beginner French students identify mistakes that have been made in sentences using the verb aller in the present tense with descriptive adjectives. Students underline the mistakes (the verbs are conjugated incorrectly, and the adjectives do not agree with the nouns they describe). Once they've identified the mistakes, they rewrite the sentences on the line provided. Answer key is included.

Click this link and you will be taken to a page where you can give a rating and leave a comment for the product. When you give feedback TPT gives you credits that you can use toward future purchases.
