This is a one page worksheet to use as a classroom activity or for small group work. The idea is to use vocabulary learned for the DIRECTEUR - PRINCIPAL theme. This worksheet is only in French so it is appropriate for immersion or core curriculums. Themed clipart is included on the worksheet. The idea is for students to ask partner(s) different things they could say at À SON DIRECTEUR. Vocabulary lists are not included. There's a space for students to write what their partner(s) say and another space where they write the name of the person who said it. I've included instructions on three different ways you can use this worksheet. These French speaking prompt cards are perfect for reinforcing grammar, vocabulary, and getting your students to speak French together! Very low prep. 30 question cards are included. Almost all of the est-ce que questions are asked in the tu form and require students to reply using je. Some of the questions encourage oui and non responses, but never without pushing for a bit more information like asking pourquoi. The questions include le présent, le passé composé et le futur proche.

All cards are visually stimulating and feature a circle to punch out in the upper left corner so that you can print, laminate, cut out, punch holes and hook the cards together with a ring. Using these cards this way makes it easy to pull them out year after year to use as NO PREP speaking activities.

There are many ways you can use this set of speaking cards:

➤ Print, laminate, cut out, punch holes and attach on a ring for small groups to ask and answer questions.

➤ Use as a warm-up speaking activity with a conversation partner. As students enter the classroom have them choose 2-3 cards from a box.

➤ Students who finish their work earlier than others can choose a few of the cards and write out correct answers to false statements.

➤ Use as exit tickets. Give each student a card before the end of class and as they walk out of the room they tell the teacher their answer.

➤ Stations: Put students into groups and divide the cards amongst them. Have groups rotate to a new station as they finish the cards.

➤ Scoot: Put one card on each desk in the classroom. Give each student a response sheet and set a timer to give them just enough time to answer true or false and to correct the false statements. When the timer rings students move on to the next desk and the next question. All cards are numbered so it is simple to stay organized. Full instructions are included.

➤ Use the cards with board games. Students must answer a question in order to move.

➤ Use the cards as an icebreaker activity at the beginning of the school year or right after school holidays.

➤ Great resource for tutoring sessions and vocabulary building.

Teaching French école - school vocabulary?  Looking for an engaging way to get your French students to build their communication skills and vocabulary? Taboo is a fun French speaking and listening game where one student has to guess a word based on clues given in French by other students. The catch is that they cannot mention anything that is included in a list of taboo words.

Classic French Taboo Games Bundle - 3 Versions

Object of the game:

One player tries to get his teammate to guess the word at the top of a card. The player must give clues, but he can't use any of the Taboo words in his description. The taboo words are written beneath the underlined word at the top of the card.

Teams score points for each word successfully guessed. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Beginner students should be allowed to use the French TABOO words printed on the cards. This will encourage them to use new vocabulary and will help them in forming sentences to use as clues.

Use these sudoku games to have some French fun with classroom themed vocabulary. 3 versions are included making a total of 27 vocabulary words. Students place a word in each empty box so that each row, column and nine box square contains each of the words.

French Dots and Boxes Game - L'ÉCOLE ET LES COURS - No prep printable

An easy and fun no-prep game that will elicit a lot of exposure and pronunciation for the target vocabulary! This is a one-page dots & boxes game including directions. See below for the included vocabulary. This game could be laminated and used repeatedly with dry-erase markers or played on an iPad with annotation/whiteboard tools.

Objective: Complete more boxes than your component. Each player draws lines using a different color. On your turn, make a horizontal or vertical line from one dot to another. Say the words on either side of the line you drew. If you complete a box on your turn, draw an X in the box using your color. Once all of the boxes have been completed, count to see who got the most.
