La Comida Vocab Powerpoint with Food Pictures

By Senorita Creativa

Do you struggle to present new vocabulary in a comprehensible way while staying completely in the target language? Then this fun PowerPoint presentation is a great way to introduce or review food vocabulary with your elementary or secondary class. There are 119 terms represented on 122 different slides (plus a title page and a teacher tips page).

The terms represented include:

  • 25 fruits and vegetables
  • 22 proteins
  • 10 desserts
  • 6 junk foods
  • 6 drinks
  • 4 dairy products
  • 8 grains/carbohydrates
  • 8 condiments and miscellaneous foods
  • 7 utensils and dishes
  • 5 related kitchen words
  • 5 meals (breakfast, lunch, etc)

Each slide is animated so that the picture appears first, followed by the Spanish term. The presentation is completely free of English, but still very comprehensible, thanks to the great clip art. My students really enjoy when we use this as a review with whiteboards. Make sure to check out the preview for a complete list of terms. Please note that the terms in the presentation are NOT editable, although slides may be deleted or rearranged.

**Please note that the pictures are covered by white boxes that are animated to disappear when in presentation mode. When viewing the presentation in any mode other than “presentation mode”, it looks like there aren’t any pictures.**
