Use these crossword and sudoku puzzles to have your students practice the days of the week and months in French. This resource includes one crossword puzzle that includes all days and months, and 3 different sudoku puzzles. Students place a word in each empty box so that each row, column and nine box square contains each of the words. Answer keys are included.

Play French scattergories when you need quick, no prep activities to play with your class while they practice their French calendar and time - le calendrier et l'heure vocabulary, oral, and written skills. These categories games includes many activities with a French calendar and time vocabulary theme which work well as an ice-breaker.

⭐ Calendars and Time Scattergories Game - ESL - ELL

Players attempt to create answers for each of the four categories on their game. This should be a fast moving game and there are only spaces for six words per category. The MAXIMUM they can write is six words so they have to choose them wisely. Students can be creative and flexible with their answers, but other players can challenge them!

12 games are included with 48 different categories! You can either print out the game sheets or project them to save paper and ink. For younger students you can allow more time for them to think and write, while older students will love the challenge of the timer.

French Calendar and Time Scattergories Game - Le Calendrier et l'heure

Looking for a fun and engaging way to practice speaking about calendars and time - le calendrier et l'heure in French with your core and immersion students? Wish you had a way to improve la communication orale in your French class? This is the activity you've been looking for!

These French speaking prompt cards are perfect for reinforcing grammar, vocabulary, and getting your students to speak French together! Very low prep. Just print and cut out the cards and you're ready to go! Check out my Le Calendrier et L'heure - French Taboo Speaking Game for another fun way to get your students speaking about this theme.

30 question cards are included. Almost all of the est-ce que questions are asked in the tu form and require students to reply using je. Some of the questions encourage oui and non responses, but never without pushing for a bit more information like asking pourquoi. The questions include le présent, le passé composé et le futur proche.

All cards are visually stimulating and feature a circle to punch out in the upper left corner so that you can print, laminate, cut out, punch holes and hook the cards together with a ring. Using these cards this way makes it easy to pull them out year after year to use as NO PREP speaking activities.

There are many ways you can use this set of speaking cards:

➤ Print, laminate, cut out, punch holes and attach on a ring for small groups to ask and answer questions.

➤ Use as a warm-up speaking activity with a conversation partner. As students enter the classroom have them choose 2-3 cards from a box.

➤ Students who finish their work earlier than others can choose a few of the cards and write out correct answers to false statements.

➤ Use as exit tickets. Give each student a card before the end of class and as they walk out of the room they tell the teacher their answer.

➤ Stations: Put students into groups and divide the cards amongst them. Have groups rotate to a new station as they finish the cards.

➤ Scoot: Put one card on each desk in the classroom. Give each student a response sheet and set a timer to give them just enough time to answer true or false and to correct the false statements. When the timer rings students move on to the next desk and the next question. All cards are numbered so it is simple to stay organized. Full instructions are included.

➤ Use the cards with board games. Students must answer a question in order to move.

➤ Use the cards as an icebreaker activity at the beginning of the school year or right after school holidays.

➤ Great resource for tutoring sessions and vocabulary building.

Est-ce que tu as déjà…? This French speaking activity is great for getting French 2 and 3 students to speak and practice their vocabulary when learning about LE CALENDRIER. Students will practice and learn new vocabulary and speak in the present tense when doing this activity. Your students will enjoy getting up and moving around the classroom as they ask their classmates questions that are listed on the grid. See full instructions for this resource below. This resource includes: Instructions One grid to print out and make one copy for each student in your class. There are sixteen squares on the grid. Each square contains one question and a space to write a classmate’s name. Instructions: Have your students move around the room asking classmates the questions that are written in the squares on the grid that you provide. If a classmate responds with OUI he or she writes his name on the line provided. Complete sentences are encouraged even when the answer is NON. Activity continues until all boxes are filled. Once all of the boxes have been signed your students can turn in their papers. This is a fun, interactive way to review vocabulary about LE CALENDRIER and to practice using the present tense. Free French blank calendar - Calendrier en français

This is a simple set of calendars in French that you can use year after year. Two sets are included. One set begins the week with lundi and the other begins with dimanche. Just print, punch holes, and store them in a folder to help you stay organized, or use them when teaching the days of the week and months. All you have to do is write the dates in the squares.

Teaching French calendrier et l'heure vocabulary?  Looking for an engaging way to get your French students to build their communication skills and vocabulary? Taboo is a fun French speaking and listening game where one student has to guess a word based on clues given in French by other students. The catch is that they cannot mention anything that is included in a list of taboo words.

Classic French Taboo Games Bundle - 3 Versions

Object of the game:

One player tries to get his teammate to guess the word at the top of a card. The player must give clues, but he can't use any of the Taboo words in his description. The taboo words are written beneath the underlined word at the top of the card.

Teams score points for each word successfully guessed. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Beginner students should be allowed to use the French TABOO words printed on the cards. This will encourage them to use new vocabulary and will help them in forming sentences to use as clues.
