'Las tapas' is a story about about Ramón, a student studying in Spain. Ramón is happy that his new friends have invited him to eat tapas this afternoon, but what exactly are tapas? Your students will learn all about this Spanish cultural habit as well as learn about popular foods in the United States and Spain! This story is written entirely in the present tense with lots of high frequency vocabulary and cognates that can be used for all levels of Spanish!
'El gazpacho' is a story about Kelly, a girl who has an exchange student from Spain living in her house. Kelly tries to make Susana feel at home by fixing gazpacho, but by the end of the story the gazpacho is all over the walls! Your students will learn all about how to prepare this Spanish staple.This story is written mostly in the present tense with lots of high frequency vocabulary and cognates that can be used for all levels of Spanish!
