The Interpretive Reading, Presentational Writing and Interpersonal Speaking and Listening practices in this resource mimic what students will see on the AAPPL test.
We all know that students do better on assessments when they are familiar with the format. Give your students an opportunity to practice without the pressure! This is a great way to test overall proficiency even if your students are not taking the AAPPL test!

Spanish Seal of Biliteracy Interpersonal Speaking AAPPL Test STAMP Test Practice

Are your Spanish students preparing to take a test for the Seal of Biliteracy? Here are 15 interpersonal listening/speaking prompts designed to help them succeed on the AAPPL Test. Build speaking proficiency by allowing students to listen to the recorded prompts and record their own responses.
This activity is designed to mimic the AAPPL test in that there are multiple prompts about lots of subjects. The prompts will ask students to respond with their own information, or to ask questions. The prompts become more complex as they go, and move between present and past tenses primarily.
The prompts are recorded for you, but the teacher script is also provided in case you want to record your own voice or set this activity up in language lab software. If you don’t have a language lab, this activity is easy to use as a whole class or to post on your learning platform.
Also included are teacher instructions and options for how to use this resource, hints and strategies about this portion of the AAPPL test, student self-assessment rubric and a teacher rubric!

Seal of Biliteracy Spanish Presentational Writing Practice AAPPL Test

Are your Spanish and other World Language students preparing to take the AAPPL test to achieve the Seal of Biliteracy? Practice presentational writing with 6 tasks that increase in difficulty, just like the AAPPL Test! Students will type in their answers to the writing prompts, each one asking them to do a little more with their language. The scoring guidelines of I-3 are also included. This test prep activity can be used online or it can be printed.
The writing prompts are in English, so this practice is appropriate for any World Language student!
Help your students feel confident and ready for this section of the test with these no-prep, pre-made presentational writing activities! The 6 activities increase in difficulty to give you and your students a good sense of what proficiency level they may score.
