Spanish Authentic Listening Activity with Comprehension Questions Medellín

By Specialty Spanish

Authentic listening activities for Spanish class can be so hard to find!  We want our students to practice their listening skills but we don’t want to spend an hour searching for a good video!  This YouTube video is about Medellín, Colombia, known as the city of eternal spring!  A young person takes us around his city and highlights some of the best tourist attractions.  To check comprehension, students will answer questions as they watch. Students will make comparisons and discover similarities and differences between their own experience and the speaker’s experience in Chile.   An answer key is also included!

Are your students interested in spring-themed activities?  Maybe this bundle is right for you!  It includes group writing challenges, speaking or writing task cards, a speaking game and this listening activity-all with a spring theme!

Spanish Spring-Themed Activities Bundle

  • Spanish students in Year 3 and up

How can I use this product?

  • Play the video for the class on a projector or Smartboard
  • Assign the video via Google Classroom or other learning platform
  • Assign the comprehension questions by printing or posting to a learning platform
