Original Prompt

create a worksheet about resource availability and the tragedy of the commons theory

This learning resource focuses on the concept of resource management, particularly highlighting the tragedy of the commons through a narrative about a shared pasture in a village. It explores the dynamics of resource availability, the implications of individual decisions on common goods, and the consequences of overuse of resources. The resource encourages critical thinking and analytical skills by prompting students to apply the theory to real-world scenarios and to consider sustainable practices to avoid resource depletion. Through examples and comprehension checks, students gain insights into how rational individual actions can lead to irrational outcomes for the entire community.
