The SmartDesk Challenge is an engaging activity designed to help learners identify their preferred learning modality—visual, auditory, or kinesthetic. Participants imagine receiving a SmartDesk that requires assembling through 15 complex steps. They must select one of three methods to learn the assembly process: by looking at detailed diagrams and pictures, by listening to a narrated audio guide, or by physically attempting to build it. After making their choice, learners are prompted to reflect on how their chosen method aids their understanding of the assembly steps, encouraging metacognitive thinking about their learning preferences.
