Claim-Evidence-Reasoning
The Claim-Evidence-Reasoning (CER) framework is a structured approach to developing scientific arguments. It guides students in making a claim, providing supporting evidence, and explaining their reasoning. This resource includes a practice activity where students can choose from various scientific topics, such as the changing of seasons, the causes of ocean tides, the conductivity of materials, or the factors affecting water evaporation. Students are encouraged to articulate their claims, back them up with evidence, and explain how their evidence supports their claims, fostering critical thinking and scientific reasoning skills.
