Original PromptActivity 1: Identity Snapshots (15 minutes)
Each student draws or writes an “identity snapshot” for three ages:
When they were younger (e.g., age 6)
Their current self
Their imagined future self (e.g., age 16 or as an adult)
Prompts:
“What did you like at that age? What were you proud of? Who were your friends? What activities did you enjoy?”
Students share one change in their identity with a partner.
This learning resource focuses on guiding students to reflect on their personal journey of growth. The objective is for students to articulate how their interests, achievements, and social connections have changed over time while imagining their future aspirations. The resource prompts students to recall their childhood preferences, current interests, and future aspirations, fostering self-awareness and personal development. It also encourages dialogue through sharing reflections with a partner, allowing for deeper engagement and understanding of personal identity changes.
