The lesson is structured into four parts: an engaging hook, a historical overview, an interactive activity, and a wrap-up session. Key materials include green construction paper, markers, a map, and gold stickers. Students will learn to identify Ireland on a map, explain St. Patrick's legacy, and recognize various holiday symbols. Throughout the lesson, they will explore themes such as the origins of St. Patrick, the symbolism of the shamrock, and various modern traditions like feasts and parades that celebrate Irish culture around the world. Activities include group research on St. Patrick's Day celebrations globally and designing their St. Patrick’s celebration, enhancing their understanding of cultural traditions.
