Create a one page worksheet on the topic of Hammurabi Code. I just want students to read different laws and determine was the punishment fair or unfair and have room for them to explain their answer. Then I want students to create their own law. Finally I want student to determine what the laws of Hammurabi tell us about Babylonian time
This learning resource focuses on the Code of Hammurabi, one of the earliest and most comprehensive written legal codes established by King Hammurabi in Ancient Babylon around 1754 BCE. The document invites students to evaluate specific laws from the code, debate their fairness, and create their own laws by addressing societal issues relevant to the time. It also encourages students to reflect on the implications of these laws for understanding the values and societal structure of ancient Babylonian civilization.
