Make me a 3 page worksheet for students to compare different grocery store prices. Make them find a food from each food group on MyPlate to compare prices to at least 2 stores. They need to make a prediction of which store they think will be more expensive, which will be the cheapest, and convenient for supplies. Have them give pros and cons for each store also.
The Grocery Store Price Comparison Challenge encourages participants to investigate and analyze the price variations for similar food items across different grocery stores. It prompts them to choose items from various food groups, make predictions about pricing, and then collect data on actual prices. Participants assess the quality, variety, and organization of the stores, ultimately reflecting on their findings to determine which store offers the best overall value based on price, quality, and convenience. This hands-on activity not only enhances understanding of market economics but also promotes critical thinking and practical shopping strategies.
