SubjectSocial Structures

This teacher guide provides an overview of the concept of social structures and institutions, aimed at helping students understand how groups of individuals come together to form organized societies. It includes objectives for identifying major social institutions like family, education, government, religion, and economy, as well as discussions on how these structures influence individual behavior and societal roles. Interactive components such as group activities and scenario analyses are integrated to encourage students to explore the dynamics of these institutions, their benefits, challenges, and the impact of power and inequality within them. Students are prompted to reflect on their own experiences with these institutions and consider their role in enacting change.
