Original Prompt

shot put medicine ball drill

This resource is focused on developing explosive power for shot put through specific medicine ball drills. It includes detailed techniques for three key exercises: the Overhead Power Toss, Chest Pass, and Glide Simulation. Each drill emphasizes the importance of proper body mechanics, such as the 'triple extension' of the ankles, knees, and hips, necessary for optimal shot put performance. The document also incorporates an analysis segment evaluating the effectiveness of each drill in improving athletic skills and includes safety evaluations to prevent injuries. Additionally, there are self-analysis sections that encourage students to reflect on their technical movements and potential areas for improvement, along with a challenge to create a warm-up routine that targets explosive power.
