SubjectMatrices

This learning resource focuses on matrices and their application in geometric transformations. Students will explore how matrices can be used to represent points and perform various transformations such as translation, dilation, reflection, and rotation. The content includes collaborative and individual tasks that encourage the application of matrix concepts to real-world scenarios, such as computer graphics, architecture, and robotics. Students engage in retrieval practice, station rotations for hands-on exploration, peer teaching protocols, and individual choice boards for problem-solving. Success criteria include the ability to apply transformations, identify errors, and explain matrix operations. The unit culminates with self-reflection on their understanding of matrix transformations.
