The Lab Safety Scavenger Hunt is an interactive activity designed to help students familiarize themselves with important safety devices in the laboratory environment. Through this activity, students will learn to locate essential safety equipment such as the eye wash station, safety shower, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit. The scavenger hunt encourages students to adopt proper lab etiquette, including wearing the appropriate attire, such as closed-toe shoes and lab goggles, and practicing safe movement by walking instead of running. Additionally, participants will engage in a safety zone check-in, where they observe and acknowledge safety rules being followed by classmates. Lastly, students will identify the nearest fire exit, ensuring they understand emergency procedures in case of a fire alarm. This hands-on experience aims to create a safer and more aware lab environment.
