Original Prompt

create a writing assignment for a first grader. This is to target speech sounds. I want him to have to copy a word down and then leave a space for him to write a sentence using that word. There should be 1 word for each target sound, with the sound at the beginning of the word. The sounds include k, g, v, z, s-blends, sh, dg

This resource is designed to help students practice writing sentences that incorporate specific target speech sounds at the beginning of words. The primary focus is on sounds such as 'k', 'g', 'v', 'z', 's-blends', 'sh', and 'dg'. Students are instructed to copy the given target word and create their own sentences featuring that word in an engaging context. Activities include providing sample sentences, writing their interpretations, and working with various target words through creative sentence construction. The aim is to enhance their writing skills while reinforcing phonetic understanding.
