This document outlines an interactive learning simulation aimed at helping students understand the importance of rules in achieving goals and maintaining liberty within a society. Through a paper sandcastle building activity without rules, students experience firsthand the chaos and frustrations arising from the absence of structure and agreement. The simulation encourages reflection on feelings of safety, cooperation, and the necessity of rules to protect individual freedoms. It also fosters group discussions about the 'State of Nature,' the significance of liberty, and the concept of cooperation.
