Create a presentation covering the functions of various organelles

This teacher guide provides a comprehensive lesson on the analogy of cells as cities, focusing on the identification and functionality of key organelles in an animal cell. Students will learn to compare cellular components to city structures, enhancing their understanding through activities such as creating a city map that reflects the organization and roles of those organelles. The lesson outlines essential materials, setup instructions, time allocation, and a structured group activity that allows students to design their own 'cell city' while justifying their choices based on cellular functions. Additionally, the guide includes an engaging exit activity that challenges students to analyze the effects of organelle malfunction.
