I'm teaching lesson 2 of our poetry topic to my year 4 class tomorrow. the lesson is all planned, i just need some slides to go with it. today, we discussed what a poem is, read The Sound Collector by Roger McGough, and labelled the key features of the text (verses, rhyming, capital letters, and verb/noun phrases like "the whistling of the kettle" which follow the same pattern of "the _____ of the ______". In lesson 2, we are going to be generating our own ideas that we can use in our own Sound
