This learning resource focuses on the strategies employed by high-performing teams, emphasizing the importance of effective collaboration in analyzing complex data sets and formulating sound arguments. It outlines key behaviors that distinguish strong teams from average ones, such as the necessity of clearly explaining data, using scientific reasoning to support arguments, and anticipating potential questions. The document also highlights how strong teams acknowledge trade-offs, synthesize unique insights, and back their claims with specific data, as opposed to simply repeating ideas or speaking in generalities. Furthermore, it provides self-evaluation prompts that encourage students to assess the clarity and depth of their claims, the rationale behind their data, and their preparedness to address counter-arguments, ultimately urging teams to develop a robust rebuttal strategy.
