100th Day of School STEAM Challenge| Building Bridges | Bridge STEAM Challenge

Teach your students all about bridges and engineering with this fun STEM Challenge. This lesson includes vocabulary words, educational videos, a virtual field trip, high order thinking questions, and descriptions of different types of bridges. Students are challenged to make a bridge out of cups, straws, and index cards. Their bridge must hold 100 pennies for the 100th day of school!

You will need

  • 100 pennies (per group)
  • Cups (2-4 per group)
  • Straws (2-4 per group)
  • Index cards (2-4 per group)
  • Tape (1 roll per group)
  • Ruler 
  • Timer
