AP Spanish Unit 6 Sobrepoblación Article and GoFormative

This Google Doc contains a link to a published article about overpopulation and embedded short answer questions perfect for Unit 6: Los desafíos mundiales. A GoFormative activity is included as another version of this activity. The accompanying questions are digital, printable and fully customizable so you can be sure each question is just right for your students!
Explore an opinion piece about the effects of overpopulation on the Earth and the humans that live on it. The article is written in Spanish as are the accompanying questions. Teachers can assign this in google doc or printed form, or they can assign the GoFormative version for students. The GoFormative questions are the same, but the program allows students to see the article and the questions side by side for easier answering. Overpopulation is a great theme to explore as a Global Challenge, or as part of the Science and Technology Unit. This activity could be a great source for a debate as this topic can be controversial!

How can I use this product?
- Assign this article and comprehension questions for in-class, distance learning or for homework.
- Ask students to discuss the information they read about. Ask provocative questions and get students to play devil’s advocate to support the other side!
- Use small group or whole-class instruction to discuss the bias in this article.
- Use the information students learn from the article as one source for students to use to debate whether or not overpopulation will really be a problem.
- Works well with Unit 4 or Unit 6 of the AP® curriculum!
