Practice reading CVC words and beginning sight words with these decodable readers. This AT Family emergent reader packet contains three decodable emergent readers that focus on the words in the AT word family. Students can get a lot of practice reading AT family words with each word family story. The books are presented in two different formats to account for different printing preferences.

The three books are titled:

• The Cat and the Rat
• I See One
• The Cat Sat

Each word family book includes a cover page and 5 or more pages for students to read. The stories and sentences in each book contains simple sight words and the target word family, making them easy for beginning readers to have success with making and reading each book.

These books can also be made by the teacher, laminated and placed in a classroom library or reading center for students to read over and over. If students create their own book, it will be a perfect practice reader for students to take home and share and practice their reading skills with parents.

Each book is easy to put together. Students simply need to color or complete the activity on each page, cut the pages in half and then staple the pages together, making sure the cover page is on top, and for the stories with sequential pages, those will need to be in the correct order.
