AT Word Family Word Work Centers and Activities with Real Photographs

Practice AT words with these literacy centers with real photographs. There are 6 different activities to engage students in learning about the AT word family.

What is Included:

  • Instructions for how to print poster pages.
  • Full page word family posters/cards.
  • Tracing Cards: Laminate these cards and place in a writing center for students to practice writing words that belong in the word family.
  • Beginning Sound Cards: Students fill in the appropriate beginning sound for each picture.
  • Spelling Cards: Students spell the words represented in the word cards.
  • Word Family Clip Cards
  • Sorting Activity: Sort pictures that are part of and not part of the word family.
  • Word Family Puzzles
  • Word Family Word Poster.

Students will stay engaged with these real photograph activities. They will practice reading, tracing and spelling CVC and CCVC words.

Spelling cards can be used with dry erase markers for a write and wipe activity. Magnet letters or letter tiles can be used for a hands on spelling activity.

Each center is low prep. They need to printed, cut out and laminated for durability. Once created, each center can be used over and over.
