This Area Model Multiplication 2 Digit by 1 Digit Activities Pack is perfect for your 4th graders when they are practicing this skill. They will get a 1 page scavenger hunt, 16 matching cards and a practice worksheet to reinforce this concept! All activities have an area model for each question so students can just fill them in.

Scavenger Hunt:

• Your students will complete the question in Box A using the area model given
• They will find their answer in another box
• Write the letter of that box at the bottom of the page
• Solve the question
• Repeat steps until all questions are answered

Matching Cards:

• This requires a little bit of prep on your end to cut the 16 cards
• The cards don't have borders so its a quick and easy cut
• Cut the cards in half along the dotted lines
• Students will show work on their workspace page that has area models set up for them
• They will match the top of the apple with the bottom of the apple

Practice Worksheet

• Students will practice 16 area model problems with area models set up for them
