This array of cityscape art projects captures elementary students' attention and shows off their creativity while helping them build and develop skills with different techniques and media. These highly engaging, hands-on projects can be used any time of the year and are cross-curricular and multi-disciplinary.
Designed for elementary students (K-5), each project includes suggested grade levels but can be adapted for your students. This resource includes National Core Art Standards and TEKS (Texas) for Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Set up projects as centers by printing out the project instructions, demo a few projects for students and let them choose, or simply assign a project and use the additional projects for early finishers.
These types of hands-on projects are excellent around the holidays because students are very engaged and working on fine muscle development.
