This resource contains 4 cross-curricular art projects inspired by the artwork of popular contemporary Brazilian artist Romero Britto.  These engaging projects are designed for Kindergarten through 5th grade students and are perfect for spring or any time of year.  One of the projects is designed to promote SEL (social-emotional learning) & is also ideal as an end-of-year project. Instructions are included.

The 4 projects vary in difficulty so it is easy to differentiate for students.  Assign different projects by grade level or class, select based on materials on hand, let students choose a project, or set up centers and have students rotate through creating multiple projects. 

The fun and energetic artwork created by these projects creates a colorful display for bulletin boards in the hallway.  The end-of-year project is perfect for those last days of classes with schedule changes, students absences, etc. because it engages students and allows you to design the lesson to incorporate assessment, SEL, student reflection, or use specific materials.
