Construction Editable Behavior Chart: Building Positive Choices

Embark on a construction-themed journey of positive behavior reinforcement with our Construction Editable Behavior Chart. This specialized sheet is designed to engage your students in the exciting world of construction while guiding them towards making the right choices.

Why Choose Construction Editable Behavior Chart:

Much like skilled builders constructing a structure, this point sheet helps construct positive behavior patterns. It's fully customizable and prepared to track progress as your students build a foundation for better choices. Each daily editable behavior chart allows you to easily edit student names, target behaviors, and schedules. Insights into the three keys to effective reinforcement is also included with your purchase).

This resource comes with three versions to suit your classroom’s needs:

  • Version 1: Students can color in the design if they receive 2 or fewer prompts, promoting self-monitoring and positive behavior choices throughout the day.

  • Version 2: For students needing more support, they can color in the design with 3 or fewer prompts.

  • Version 3: A "smiley face behavior chart", perfect for younger students or those who benefit from visual reinforcement.

How to Use Construction Editable Behavior Chart:

  1. Personalize the PDF by entering your student's schedule or handwrite it after printing. For sustainability, consider laminating the sheet before use.
  2. Set a daily percentage goal with your student, just like planning a construction project.
  3. Offer rewards, such as being the "foreman" for the day, if they achieve their goal (refer to the three keys to effective reinforcement).
  4. Place the sheet on the student's desk as a constant reminder of their construction-themed mission towards success.
  5. Use prompts as needed for the target behavior, marking them like construction supervisors guiding a project. Avoid offering more chances than allowed to encourage self-monitoring.
  6. Allow the student to mark their progress when they appropriately demonstrate the target behavior during the designated time frame.
  7. If they reach their percentage goal, reward them with the predetermined "construction" reinforcer at the end of the day.

Enhance Data Collection and Communication:

  • Utilize this sheet for data collection by tracking daily earned percentages.
  • Easily graph progress using our Point Sheet for Behavior- Graphing, available separately.
  • Foster communication with parents by sharing daily updates through print or digital means, keeping them informed about their child's construction journey towards improved behavior.

Important Note:

Just as construction projects require careful planning, these point sheets are most effective for students who can delay gratification until the end of the day.
