This resource is a page for designing a leprechaun trap. Both the primary and upper elementary versions include an area to draw the trap, a space to list the materials they will need, and a portion to write about why this is the perfect leprechaun trap to finally catch the mischievous leprechaun! The primary version has large lined areas in the writing areas to accommodate larger handwriting and students that need the lines for proper letter formation. The upper elementary version includes a writing prompt that asks for more detail, it asks the student to label the parts of the trap in addition to drawing it and more lines are included for the supplies needed section.
This would be a great activity to do on St. Patrick's Day or in preparation for it, after reading "How To Catch a Leprechaun" by Adam Wallace, as a center activity or a time filler when needed.
