“The Great Reading Race” was designed to encourage students to read twenty-four books from all the Dewey Decimal System categories. The goal is to encourage your students to read all genres of books rather than simply focusing on one or two categories. They are given the Student Sheet at the beginning of the year to track their progress as they read books. The student sheet includes spaces for each of the Dewey Decimal System categories.
