Efficient early literacy benchmarking in Google Sheets™

This all-in-one Google Sheets™ workbook is designed to help you administer the EL Education Benchmark Assessments for Letter Name and Sound ID AND Phonological awareness for up to 40 students, six times a year! With individual tabs for each student, you can easily track progress and analyze data for your entire class or caseload, making it easy to group students by skills and share data with parents or administrators. The workbook even features automatic student grouping based on phonological skill deficit!

What is included in the Google Sheets™ workbook:

• CLASS DATA SHEET: A sheet displaying the scores for your entire class across six reporting periods, with conditional formatting to highlight students in the low or high range. You can use filters to identify areas of need and sort students.
• CLASS DATA SHEETS FOR EACH REPORTING PERIOD: A tab with a sheet for each reporting period is included to more easily view current results.
• ASSESSOR PROBES: Each student (up to 40) will have a two tabs (one for Letter Name and Sound ID and one for Phonological Awareness) within the workbook with six assessments per tab. Simply check the missed items to calculate words read correctly. Data is copied to the bottom of the Phonological Awareness Probe where areas in need of remediation are easily identified.
• STUDENT GROUPING SHEETS: Each reporting period includes a student grouping sheet for Phonological Awareness where students scoring four or fewer in an area are copied to the appropriate skill column.
