Teach your students the "magic" of the silent e long vowel letter pattern with these fun and engaging fairytale themed activities and recording sheets. Great for centers, stations, small groups and more! Perfect for girls and boys alike, take your students on a fantasy adventure while learning about CVCe words.

Four fun activities are included in both color and black and white. Each activity also includes a recording sheet.

Activities included:

Easy Cut Matching Puzzles - students will match the picture to the CVCe word and trace a line to the correct word on the recording sheet.

Fairytale Board Game - students will choose a playing piece. Playing pieces include prince, princess (3 different skin tones for each), horse, frog, or dragon. Students use the spinner or roll a die, move the correct number of spaces and read the CVCe word. Students will then trace the word on the recording sheet.

Magic "e" CVC to CVCe Write and Wipe Cards - Students will look at the CVC word and add the silent e to the word. Students will then write the word on the card and on the recording sheet.

Magic Mirror Unscrambling - Students will use the image in the magic mirror to help unscramble the letters on the card to form a CVCe word. Students will write the word on the card and then write the word on the recording sheet.
