Your students will read about nature and how it relates to science. Then they will observe things in nature, and create their own initial from things that they find.

The passages make a great read-aloud for kindergarten and first-grade students. They can be read independently by most second and third graders.

There are 2 worksheets that can be completed after the reading, a check off sheet for the nature walk, writing paper for them to write about their walk on, and a STEM challenge!
