French Passé Composé - Google Forms Quiz Exercise Worksheet

Advanced Passé Composé - French Google Forms Quiz or Exercise

This challenging, upper-level passé composé quiz is a fill in the blank style exercise.  The verb to put in the passé composé is written in the infinitive form.  In order to earn a point, students need to think about a few things:

  • Être ou avoir?
  • Agreement or no agreement?
  • Regular or irregular past participle?
  • Is there a preceding direct object or direct object pronoun that requires agreement?
  • Don't forget about the "body part rule" when using reflexive verbs.
  • Remember that some verbs sometimes use être, and other times they use avoir (when followed by a direct object).

Students don't need to rewrite the whole sentence, only the helping verb and past participle.  If they don't type the necessary accent marks, answers will be considered incorrect.   English translations are included in the feedback.

This Google Form includes 25 fill in the blank sentences, and is easy to edit if you prefer. Instructions are included (see preview).

Share remotely with your students and have it auto-grade.
