Sight Words

Do you need NO TECH teacher and student-friendly sight word tracking and assessment system to progress monitor your first grade and second grade students’ high-frequency words?

I see you with your hanging files, manilla folders, and clear view binders!

These no tech progress monitoring tools will simplify and organize your assessment process so you can quickly and efficiently collect the data you need without having to pull out a computer or Chromebook!

NOTE: If are one who embraces the efficiency of technology and prefers digital progress monitoring, please visit my store for these and many other assessments in Google Sheets!

The First 300 Fry Instant Words make up 65% of all written material. These words should be mastered by the end of second grade. Even if you are not explicitly teaching the Fry Instant Words, an improvement in the students’ ability to orthographically map these words should be evident throughout the school year.

This product includes progress monitoring for the SECOND 100 INSTANT WORDS in four sets of 25 words each. The words are displayed in an easy-to-read font and in a different order on each probe.

Print and go! No searching your drive for files and graphs!

Manual line graph prints on the front of each set of student probes. Just like the old DIBELS!

Use a ruler and those fancy gel pens you love so much!

What is included in the zip file:

  • Four PDF files with student probes (Fry Instant Words 101-200 in four sets of 25)
  • Four PDF file with assessor probes (Fry Instant Words 101-200 in four sets of 25)

Sample Goals:

The student will demonstrate an improvement in their ability to recall the most common regular and irregularly spelled words as measured by a curriculum-based measurement in high-frequency word recall from a baseline score of 23% correct to a goal score of 95% correct by June 6, 2022.

When given a curriculum-based measurement depicting 25 regular and irregularly spelled words, the student will read the words with 98% accuracy in 4 out of 5 trials.
